The Deputy Dean of the School of Arts Gives a Lecture on "The Beauty of Chinese Characters"
From September 19th to 28th, a delegation led by Qingdao Technical College’s (QTC) Party Secretary, Wang Jinsheng, along with along with representatives from the International Office, School of Business, School of Arts, and Haier School (School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering) visited Italy and Spain. During this visit, memoranda of cooperation were signed with the Clif Project Training and International Language and Culture Exchange Center in Italy and the University of Salerno in Italy, while a memorandum of cooperation intention was reached. These agreements mark the beginning of a diverse internationalization journey encompassing inter-university collaborations, industry-academic partnerships, multi-disciplinary programs, and diverse projects.
In Italy, the delegation engaged in discussions with the Clif Project Training and International Language and Culture Exchange Center regarding cultural exchanges, study tours, training, and degree enhancement for teachers and students in Italy, as well as study tours, exchange programs, and academic visits for Italian students to China. Both parties reached a unanimous agreement on establishing a long-term and stable cooperation relationship. In the presence of local education officials, Wang Jinsheng, representing QTC, and Lucio Ferraro, the director of the center, jointly signed a memorandum of cooperation.
At the University of Salerno, extensive talks were held on programs like "3+2" and "4+1" for international students, cultural exchanges through student exchanges, study tours, academic visits, teacher exchanges, and the establishment of the "Chinese + Vocational Skills" overseas teaching base. After the meetings, the university organized a meeting with students to discuss and exchange ideas on various issues including majors, Sino-Italian cultural exchanges, and the desire to study in China.
In Spain, the delegation met with the University of Design and Technology and engaged in detailed discussions regarding cooperation in various aspects such as academic programs, degree education, student exchanges, credit recognition, and teacher exchanges. The two sides agreed to start cooperation from three aspects: degree education, student study tours, and faculty training. On behalf of QTC, Liu Weiguo, Deputy Dean of the School of Arts delivered a lecture on "The Beauty of Chinese Characters" as a part of traditional cultural exchange, enhancing the understanding of Chinese traditional culture and art among the students of the Spanish university.
