TUESDAY, 17 AUGUST 2004 - The Weather

I'll be real brief today.  We have a sweet set-up in the hospital to watch the Olympics.  A big screen TV and a satellite hook-up to the Hotbird Satellite, which gets us Eurosport.  Eurosport is sort of like a European ESPN.  It is a good sports station, and their Olympics coverage is outstanding with 24/7 coverage.

Anyway, I heard a mention that it was very hot in Greece, high of 88 degrees F.  Whew, a smoker.  So I added a link to WUNDERGROUND so you can check the weather in Mosul, Iraq at any time.  This will be really good for my parents who constantly ask me what the weather is like here - HOT.  Actually, we don't have it nearly as bad as those in Southern Iraq and Kuwait have it.  We typically only get around 110 deg during the day, and it is usually only in the 80's first thing in the morning (we do our running at around 5:45 am to avoid the heat).

Well, looking at the five-day forecast, we have a cold front later in the week.  The high Friday will only be 102.

Here is the link, enjoy (you can also access it from our intro page):  Mousl Weather
